TOO LONG DOES BELONG

Summer hair inspiration, boom!

I cannot lie, in a Cali world where we’ve been drawn to tousled beach waves, long layers, and a ton of dimension for the past few, well, years, I must say I am drawn to these overly long, heavy, simple blonde tresses,-still with a natural root, for summer.  Something to strive for, ladies!

KATE O.-BRIGHTNESS BE HAD

HAIR COLOR by SARAH CONNER

Kate was well due for color after having let her previous colorist’s work grow out and her natural root come through.  A round of highlights was just what she needed to refresh her blonde and bring back some brightness to her skin tone.  The mix of sandy blonde and honey beige tones are just too perfect for her.  Love it!

LEXI M.-GOLDEN HONEY WHEAT

HAIR COLOR by SARAH CONNER

HAIR CUT/STYLE by MARC DURAND

My oh my, how Lexi’s skin tone warmed up and lit up once I transformed her dirty blonde into a warm shade of golden honey wheat blonde.  The right tone can change everything!

INDIAN SUMMER

I don’t know exactly why, but her hair reminds me of the colors you’d see in an Indian summer.  The medium golden and honey wheat hues against the deeper root is natural with an edge.  A little bit country with the flavor of rock n’ roll.

BRONZY BLONDE

Something I love about this deep golden blonde…deep enough to read almost coppery bronze.

MORGAN TAYLOR-RETOUCH & REFRESH

HAIR COLOR by SARAH CONNER

HAIR CUT by MELISSA STONE

Morgan recently became an LA transplant by way of San Fran and had been letting her roots grow and grow until she found her way into our chairs by word of mouth.  (Which by the way is the best way to find a new colorist/stylist-word of mouth referral. If someone else you come across has a great style/color and loves their hair team, chances are you will too!)

Though grown out, Morgan’s hair color was pretty so a simple root retouch and a refresh were all that were needed.  I primarily used a high-lift color as her main highlight to lift her to the perfect soft golden honey wheat hue and finished the look off with a gloss for extra shine and a refresh to her ends.  I love her color and I loved getting to know Morgan- happy to have her as a new client!
