STACEY A- A BRASS CORRECTION

Stacey tracked me down on a trip to NYC to fix the pallet of brassy blonde she’d recently been given, and I’m so happy that she did.  You can see in her “before’s,” depending on the lighting, that her base read from warm to warmer and was in need of toning down in comparison to her cool beige highlights she’d also been given.  Contrasting tones such as these never work.  Multiple processes and patience on Stacey’s end, allowed me to correct her base and give her a much needed “root” to transform her color from solid brass blonde to a more natural looking dimensional beige blonde.  As is true with any proper color correction, things will only continue to get better in time, but I am happy to see Stacey’s color on the right track!

Alex saw me in NYC, ready to enrich her hair color by deepening it several shades.  Love it!  The espresso tones give her hair extra radiance and shine a.k.a. one healthy head of gorgeous hair!

APRIL IN NYC

Just for fun I thought I’d share a few candid photos from our trip to NYC this past April.  It was mostly work (I’ve already posted a couple of before’s and after’s —scroll down a bit and check them out!) but  we did find time for some good eats and seeing the randomness of the city.  That’s what I love about New York, you just never know what you will encounter….  perhaps a guy with a cat on his head, maybe the best meal ever, or shoot, how about a barber chair next to a phone booth.  Now that’s multitasking!  

My co-worker, Alessandra Saman, and I will be out again mid July… come see us in the city and let’s get creative, be inspired, and have fun with your hair!

LIZ B-KEEPING IT REAL, REAL NATURAL

Ahh, love Liz.  She started coming to me years ago in LA and then moved off to NYC probably about a year or so ago…the sweet girl that she is, hadn’t had her color done since!  By the time she was back in my chair when I was in NYC this past April, her old highlights had grown out and I had a virgin head to work with again.  I did a face frame highlight and scattered tips of high-lift color and bleach to keep her look soft and really natural.  Her new look will be super easy for upkeep and will easily hold out for my future visits to NYC!
